בשבוע שעבר, מספר ימים לפני שהקולקציה של מארני ו-H&M הושקה בחניות בעולם קיבלתי הזמנה למכירה מוקדמת בתל-אביב. כמובן שהתרגשתי לקבל את ההזדמנות לקנות את שחפצה נפשי מהקולקציה בלי לחכות שעות בתור ובלי לריב על חצאית או שרשרת... נשמע כאילו אני ברת-מזל, ואני מודה על כך שיש לי בלוג.
אבל שעתיים לפני שהמכירה בחנות הפופ-אפ הייתה אמורה להתחיל, בזמן שהתהלכתי לי בנחלת בנימין שינתי את דעתי. הסתכלתי על כל הבדים מסביבי, הצבעים והדוגמאות... ופתאום הכל התבהר לי! למה לי לקנות בגדים שכולם ילבשו? למה לא להכין בגדים בעצמי אם הסטייל שלי? אל תבינו אותי לא נכון, אני אוהבת את הקולקציה של מארני וממש הוחמאתי לקבל הזמנה למכירה המוקדמת. אבל להכין וללבוש את העיצוב שלי נותן לי הרגשה שקשה לתאר במילים. זה נותן לך הרגשה של ביטחון, כוח וייחודיות. אני לא יכולה לחכות להראות לכם מה יצא (דרך-אגב, לכל הבנות שכן קנו מהקולקציה של מארני אני מקנא בכן בכל ליבי! :) נשיקות
Last week, few days before the Marni x H&M collection was about to hit stores worldwide, I received an invitation for the pre-sale in Tel Aviv. I was excited of course. Getting the chance to buy what I wanted from the collection without waiting in line for hours and having to fight for a skirt or a necklace... Sounds like I was lucky, and thankful to have a blog.
Two hours before the pop-up store was supposed to open though, while walking on Nahalat Binyamin, I changed my mind. I was looking at all the fabrics around me, all these colors and patterns..., and it suddenly made sense! Why should I buy clothes that everybody's gonna wear? Why not making my own clothes instead and having a style of my own? Don't take me wrong, I really love the Marni's collection. And I was really flattered to get invited to the pre-sale. But doing - and wearing - my own designs is a feeling I just don't have words to describe. It makes you feel confident and powerful. And unique.
